While we are waiting for our window of opportunity we have visited the Isle of Noss. In order to continue our journey into the Baltic we have to wait until the strong head wind turns favourable again. It appears that we will have to be patient again. However, there are much worse places to spend time than the Shetlands.
Today we have visited the Isle of Noss, a protected area where many sea birds nest. There is a huge gannet colony with several thousand nest. The sight, the sound and also the smell have made this a sensory experience.
